Sharon Hartas of UKBMD has sent a message about some of the additions to the UKBMD and UKGDL websites.
Sharon writes:
UKBMD
This month I have updated the links on UKBMD – this now takes the total to 1304 links.
- Perth Burgh Burial Registers, 1794-1855.
- Bandon, Co. Cork – parish records and more.
- Randwick, Gloucestershire – parish records and more.
- More One Name Study websites have also been added.
- Welsh Mormon History – lists Welsh Mormons who emigrated to America and includes many birth, marriage and death dates as well as locations.
- Open Library – scanned books including many parish register transcriptions for most counties. Make sure you tick the scanned books only option. Searching on keywords baptism / baptisms / christening / christenings gives vastly different results. This is also accessible through UKGDL for all counties.
- We have added a new ‘county’ to the County drop down list. At the end of the list there is now one called British Abroad. We will use this where websites refer to British but don’t say specifically where they originate so I cannot include them in a specific county / region. England / Scotland / Wales and Ireland are also listed separately – again there may be websites that only appear under these and not under individual counties/regions.

- Am Baile – Highland History and Culture – includes Sutherland Vehicle Registrations 1904, to school log books, newspapers and more.
