Prison hulk registers and letter books (1802-1849) and parole licences for female convicts (1853-1871 and 1883-1887) have recently been made available online by Ancestry.co.uk. All the records are from The National Archives of the UK.

The Irish Family History Foundation’s Online Research Service has announced the availability of records from Irish Midlands Ancestry covering the parishes of County Laois (formerly Queen’s County) and County Offaly (formerly King’s County), adding another 800,000 records to its online database.

The Scottish Government’s official pay-per-view family history website ScotlandsPeople has a new version of its website, which the Scottish Tourism Minister will officially launch on 7 September.
