About three and a half million Devon parish records, plus 180,000 for Suffolk and Kent, have now been made available online.
Devon
Find My Past UK has launched a database containing images of of Plymouth and west Devon parish records covering 3.5 million people and five centuries.
Find My Past says: “These records include baptisms, marriages and burials from 1538 to 1911, making it easier than ever before to trace your Devon ancestors before the first census and the start of birth, marriage and death records in the 19th century.”
The records have been provided by Plymouth City Council’s Plymouth & West Devon Record Office.
Suffolk and Kent
The Suffolk Family History Society has provided Find My Past UK with transcripts of nearly 120,000 baptism and almost 14,000 marriage records. The baptisms cover the period 1754-1905 and the marriages 1754-1812. You can find which parishes are included here (for baptisms) and here (for marriages).
Kent
In addition, Find My Past UK has added transcripts of nearly 50,000 burials for the Kent parishes of Northfleet, Dartford and Gravesend, covering the period 1788-1983. The burials have been provided by the North West Kent Family History Society .
