Hi Sue (and Everyone)

The newspapers are now available on Find My Past.

There are some differences to the search facilities on the British Newspaper Archive site. On FMP, you can search by year, whereas the BNA lets you narrow your search down to a single day. Also on the BNA, you can specify an individual newspaper to search, which FMP doesn't let you do. What FMP does allow (as does the BNA) is searching by county of publication.

Best wishes

Hi Sue

The newspapers aren't on the FMP website yet. FMP says they're coming in the next few weeks.

I have now heard from Find My Past who say: "Within FMP we have access to a wide and varied range of records, giving what we believe is exceptional value for money. The access to British Newspapers is just one element of this which the customer can benefit from.

"Whilst this access is now available on the FMP site, the British Newspaper Archive will still operate as a separate site and customers who already have a subscription for that can still use that on the BNA site.

"BNA access within FMP will also be slightly different from that of the BNA site. We have approximately 95% of those records and the search criteria is also different."
