Your Family History magazine has launched a Volunteer of the Year Award for 2012.
Your Family History has sent the following information:
“Your Family History Magazine would like to inform you about Volunteer of the Year Award 2012. The aim of the competition is to help acknowledge the incredible work undertaken by volunteers throughout the family history sector, whether they are indexers and transcribers; committee members or assist at family history events. The magazine is asking readers and members of the public to nominate their Volunteer of the Year.
“You are invited to send in your nominations, stating the name of the volunteer; the organisation(s) they work for; and, in no more than 250 words, the reason for their nomination. The closing date for nominations will be 31 December 2012, to give our judges sufficient time to consider the potential candidates. We will then present the winner with their award at Who Do You Think You Are Live 2013.
“Nominations can be made online at the Your Family History website, or via email to marketing@your-familyhistory.com. Nominations are not restricted to residents within the UK, but please note that winners need to make their own travel arrangements to Who Do You Think You Are Live 2013 in London.”
