More First World War military records have recently been made available online.
Ancestry has completed its database of First World War Army Service Records, and also added De Ruvigny’s Roll of Honour 1914-24 (which contains biographies of over 26,000 casualties – including both officers and other ranks from the British Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force – with 7,000 photographs) and Ireland, Casualties of World War One (which contains the book, Ireland’s Memorial Records – an 8 volume set compiled by the Committee of the Irish National War Memorial, originally published in 1923, providing information on over 49,000 Irish men and women who died in the First World War).
Family Relatives has also added De Ruvigny’s Roll of Honour to its collection of military records, as well as the Peninsular Medal Roll 1808-14 and various Army Lists from 1798 to 1888.
